The adult application process is as follows...
For New Scouters:

Step 1

Fill out the application form.

Save (In case you need it again for another position like MB counselor or Crew) and print. 

Sign the form.

Scan the document to PDF.

Step 2

Apply for all clearances. These are free as you are a volunteer.

Step 3

Create userID and complete Youth Protection Training.

Step 4

When they come in...

Send:

  1. The signed application in PDF form
  2. YPT Cert (good for all of the next year)
  3. New clearances as PDFs to the email link to be reviewed.

NOTE: 

RESIDENT VERIFICATION FORM

If you have lived in Pennsylvania for more than 10 years, you do not have to complete the FBI Criminal Background Check, however, you must complete a Resident Volunteer Verification Form (PDF).

 

The Committee Chairperson (CC) reviews the application and then 

sends them to The Chartered Organization Rep. (CoR) for approval.

 

They print and sign the application and PDF it back to The CC.

 

They send it to Laurel Highlands Council at Flag Plaza and we are done.

 

For transfers or multiple unit membership:
 

Fill out the application form marking on the bottom of page 3 "Transfer" or "multiple".

Save (In case you need it again for another position like MB counselor or Crew) and print. 

Sign the form.

Scan the document to PDF.

 

Send:

  1. The signed application in PDF form
  2. YPT Cert (good for all of the next year)
  3. Up-to-date clearances as PDFs to the email link to be reviewed.

Merit Badge Councilors

Fill out this form

Submit a new application with a position code of "42".

Make a copy of your Youth Protection certification and clearances. 

Submit these to the troop leadership for processing.
